The Castle: Ghost-eyed Bride

I use to like this and read it every week waiting for update but the moment they started turning pets into characters i lost intresting i hate it when they do that in animes too where they turn objects into waifus.

Painfully, paaaaaainfully slowed pace. 
So slow that from chapter 3ish they started like a wife trail to marry the prince.... and it's chapter 55 and it's not even close to finish that da** wife trail.
NOTHING HAPPENS. 

This is the typical Cinderella story where a gorgeous, talented woman is taken by a family where the daughter/mother treats her like sh**, the brother wants her and the father just uses her powers. 
She literally meets a prince and is forced by the mom and dad to use her powers to help the daughter marry the prince. 

The issue with this manga...  
--She has real powers called "the eye" but acts weak AF 

--it's obvious she and the prince are in love, but she still acts like the useless sister should marry him. 

--the empire is doing this stupid, unnecessary "wife selection contest" when it's CLEAR he needs to marry the FL because she has "the eye," which is the power every queen had 🙄 (except ML's mom) 

--it's one of those mangas where there is zero fuc**** communication between the ML and FL. 100% of the story's issues could be solved with one talk. But since they don't talk, there's issue after issue, misunderstanding after misunderstanding. 

--She hides everything, doesn't talk about anything important, lies constantly, for no reason other than to keep the main characters from accepting their love.... episode 55 and she's still sometimes acting like yes&no. 

In short.... it's a super cool idea but the author couldn't think of how to make it last longer than 10 chapters, so they're adding unnecessary, bland, dumb fluff that just adds pages and no substance. 
I hope the fluff ends and FL starts acting as powerful as she's supposed to be and that the story moves away from let's find him a wife

Overall i think this story is good . FL is strong however she is helpless due to her mom condition. Im now at chap 50,cant wait what gonna happen next

I kinda like it. It's a purebred drama. Slow pacing, intrigues, conspiracies, gnarly relationships and devious but stereotypical antagonists. 

To note, I appreciate the world building. The ink demons are incredibly well drawn, with a unique style, and the art in general is very good. From character design to faces, it has high standards. Only, the facial expressions are a bit clichè, especially with negative emotions. But that's being a cùnt so don't mind it. 

Writing wise, along with a decent form, we have a strong main couple. The side cast is a bit too exaggerated, but we can make it work. All in all, the plot is focused more on their relationship than the intrigue itself: everybody kinda already knows most of the secret. It's just that the plot keeps on. Albeit slowly. 

Slowly, yeah. That's can be an issue. Fourty chapters in, and the narration HAS had developments. But it feeeeeels slow. It's the WAY it's told, not the lack of events. 

8½ on the Ivern Scale™️. Good but with small flaws.

So slow. I guess it's more useful as a sleep aid than entertainment.

Slow paced, it's dragging too much. FL always look pitiful, when will she ever win?
