This story’s title doesn’t lie—the prince is problematic. He’s not the usual angsty, abusive, misunderstood bad boy, but he’s still trash. He’s blunt, emotionally robotic, and treats the FL like a jester for his amusement, rewarding or mocking her like a pet. He never takes her seriously, and I have no idea what she sees in him.

The FL? A "strong" doormat. She endures endless mistreatment, lets people walk over her, and never truly stands up for herself. Her only sensible ally is her maid, Lisa. Despite studying to fit into aristocratic society, she remains helpless and dependent on the ML. Even after being humiliated, she takes no real action, keeps toxic maids around, and swallows her anger. People mistake this for strength, but she’s just good at being a victim.

Their relationship is a joke. She forgives too easily, and he never learns from their fights. A smile, a flirt, or a half-assed gesture is all it takes for her to move on. When she thought she was pregnant, he laughed instead of discussing it seriously—like, what’s so funny? Then he makes an inappropriate joke about only sleeping in her bed if she makes him touch her. Gross. She lets him do whatever, reinforcing his behavior.

Worst part? Their fights go nowhere. She starts them, but she’s always the first to cave. They don’t communicate, reflect, or grow—just laugh, move on, repeat. He doesn’t even answer when she asks how he feels about fatherhood, just laughs and puts her to bed. He treats her like a child he sleeps with occasionally.

The background characters? Just haters to highlight how much abuse the FL can take. She even rewards her toxic maids, thinking it’ll earn their loyalty when they’d drop her in a second. She’s naive, ignorant, and a textbook doormat.

I had originally rated it a 4 but after reading the novel I took it down to a 3. The illustrations are gorgeous in this manhwa and we all know the story is frustrating but I really pulled for the FL bc I thought she was genuinely nice and deserved better. With that being said the regret/redemption part of the story really didn't satisfy. I was told his POV was sad and insightful but nah even to the very end, imo, he was too c0cky and the remorse was lame. He does makes efforts but eh it was whatever. I will take into account his personality was always obviously a problem so I'm not sure what I expected, to me it just felt flat. There were parts I empathized with him but I couldn't find myself liking him still. Maybe bc the FL was so nice I just felt she deserved more.

I think this manhwa is really pretty, but... I really loathe the Prince. Now I read only to 70 chapter, and I hope that fl eventually throw him over, but for now there are stockholme syndrome in this relationship and I can't stand it. Her husband is so toxic that I coudn't even imagine on the start of this story. Hard backstory? Everybody has some hard in their backstory but they are not so freak and egoistic. Like I said, the manhwa is pretty, pictures are really nice, but the plot is tragic. I'll drop this story and maybe get back to it when it will be finished... Maybe not.

I'm dropping at chap 55 I might come back to it but that is beside the point it simply isn't for me. It's to slow paced for me with nothing really happening besides the beginning of you like slow paced romance this was made for you have fun reading.

The name fits the story...the whole problem is really the prince ...he really is an assw****,our dear ml....he is a red flag...and yeah its his story and the poor country bumping of ours who is in love with him..thus blind....
But still this is really entertaining as how both of their thought process works...specially HIS😒.....im desperately waiting for the redemption arc of the ml...and really really want him to fall hard for her.....well this for now seems quite far...but I like it...I'm gonna stay tuned.

Okay, so, hi. You know my name. I'm the àsshole snowflake. The verbose one. Let's get this one over with.

Housekeeping first. From a technical standpoint? Boi oh boi: this manga slaps. Primo quality shït. The art is gōddamn majestic: his smile... It does things to my gay àss. Terrifying things. There is this calmness, this tenderness in the art style, that clashes with the frigid and violently sad contents of the plot.

Said plot is... gōd... uneventful? They meet, they get married. BUT the devil is in the details, and the details here are woven into the fabric of writing with a proper soul. Novel-tier, with a slow pacing to match. Needs a good translation, of course, but it is fuc*** remarkable, and you can count on that. Incredible characters.

Now, here we come to the painful part. I know the fücker who wrote this. This isn't the first time. This son of a gøddamn bītch is doing it on purpose. The first manga was, admittedly, tragically frustrating, but great. The second could've been a fluke. This one, here, is a personal insult. How could he? To me? Innocent, precious Ivern? Despicable.

In short: the archetypes the author uses are insufferable. Both FL and ML, if analyzed as clusters of tropes, are the perfect recipe for a nervous breakdown. BUT HE IS SUCH A CAPABLE WRITER I ACTUALLY SEE THEM AS PEOPLE! And fück me, I LIKE THEM! I DO! I know that rationally Bjorn should be on the receiving end of a cannon ball, DIRECTLY AIMED AT HIS A**, but for the love of gød I can't. I can't do it? I like him? He is the worst and I like him? And why do I find her cutesy, innocent, irritating àss actually endearing? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME, YOU MANIAC!

The key, evidently, is depth. I won't describe these two... indescribable... morons, because you need to read them. See them. You should, trust me. Giving it the GAI (Grand Accolade of Ivern™️).

Dear author, who hurt you to think this breadcrumbing creep of an ml would be considered remotely romantic, and it kills me how much bs the fl takes forever with said creep, she needs to leave him and be with the only supportive non-family member which is her friggin maid lisa, I am straight, but I Stan for Lisa doggone itXD
